ARMA Houston regularly performs demonstrations for schools, libraries, museums, scout groups, conventions, and other venues to educate the public about our European martial heritage. Details for a typical demonstration are listed below. We can customize our demonstrations to fit a particular audience, location, or time frame if needed. - Introduction: About ARMA and the martial arts of Renaissance Europe
- Common myths about swords and martial arts
- How we learn and practice: demonstration of drills and exercises with longsword and other weapons as time allows
- Live fighting demonstrations
- Question & Answer session, opportunity to handle weapons & armor on the display table
- Optional for children: supervised play with padded swords
